🙌 Why I Started This Blog
As a school teacher cum parent myself, I know how overwhelming it can be to sort through curriculum, manage multiple learners, and keep your sanity.
I started this blog to:
- Save other parents time and stress
- Build a community that supports rather than pressures
- Share joyful, print-and-play learning games for Grades 4–6 (with a soft spot for burned-out teachers and homeschooling parents just trying to keep the spark alive ✨)
After 30+ years teaching upper elementary—rotating between Grade 5 and Grade 6—I’ve seen it all: the eye rolls, the aha moments, the “I left my homework in a tree” excuses. 😅 And through it all, one thing stayed true:
Kids learn best when they’re having fun—and teachers teach best when they’re not drowning in prep.
That’s why I create resources that are:
📎 Easy to print
🎲 Fun to play
🧠 Thoughtfully designed to build skills and connection
Around here, you’ll find escape rooms, scavenger hunts, SEL games, grammar/vocabulary puzzles, and math/science/geography/history activities that feel more like play than worksheets. If you’ve ever wished your students were engaged without needing glitter or hours of prep—you’re in the right place.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about customizing learning to your family, and having the tools, resources, and encouragement to make it work.
Thanks for stopping by — and welcome to the Hub. You’re not alone on this journey.
Sheena
